Who is Hot Plasma suitable for?

We don't choose Hot Plasma as a general facial treatment, but very specifically when we want to address excess or strongly sagging skin. Especially around the eyes, the point technique lets us work very precisely on the places where excess skin is present. Before every treatment we first assess the skin and determine whether Hot Plasma is truly the right choice.

How does the treatment work?

With Hot Plasma we work point by point on the skin. The small plasma points are placed according to a careful pattern on the zone we want to treat. The controlled heat effect causes the skin tissue to contract locally. The main goal is not to treat various skin problems at once, but specifically to reduce excess, sagging skin and make the treated zone look tighter. After the treatment, small dark dots and crusts appear on the treated spots, which are part of the healing process and must fall off by themselves.

Is Hot Plasma painful?

Because Hot Plasma is a more intensive treatment, we apply a numbing cream beforehand. This makes the treatment well tolerated by most clients. During the treatment you may feel a brief warm sensation or slight tingling locally. Sensitivity varies per person and treated zone.

After the treatment

Unlike, for example, Fractional RF Lifting, Hot Plasma does have a clear recovery period. Immediately after the treatment the small plasma points are visible as dark crusts. These crusts must absolutely not be removed, scratched or pulled off, and must fall off the skin by themselves. Recovery takes on average about one week. Treatment around the eyes can also cause swelling, usually most noticeable in the first days and lasting about 3 to 5 days.

Aftercare for Hot Plasma

Good aftercare is very important for a beautiful skin recovery. For the first 5 days we use only the recommended Silver Gel on the treated skin. When the crusts fall off by themselves, the new skin underneath can be temporarily more sensitive. Good sun protection therefore remains important.

What can you expect?

Hot Plasma is mainly intended to locally contract excess and sagging skin. After full recovery, the treated zone can look tighter and smoother and excess skin can become less visible. The amount of improvement possible depends, among other things, on the amount of excess skin, the skin's condition and the treated zone. That's why we always assess individually beforehand what is realistically achievable.

When don't we treat?

Hot Plasma is not performed during pregnancy, with an active oncological condition, or during chemotherapy. Before every treatment we discuss relevant health information and carefully assess the skin's condition before deciding whether Hot Plasma is suitable.
